Q. How can I see actual samples of siding that I am interested in?
A. Maryland Shingle makes your selection easy by bring samples of siding you are considering directly to the convenience of your home. You may also mix and match siding accessories such as installing accent colors on the corners of your home.
Q. I have aluminum siding can I switch to vinyl siding?
A. Yes, Maryland Shingle can remove your current aluminum siding and install new vinyl siding on your home.
Q. Should I install my new roof or new siding first?
A. We recommend installing your new roof first followed by your new siding if you will be doing both. The reason for this is some siding accessories such as J-channel will be installed on top of the new roof in certain areas making it easier if the roof is done first. Roof flashing points are also easier to service when doing the roof first.
Q. Should I make any preparations before siding work begins on my home?
A. Yes, you will want to take down any breakable items off your walls. The exterior walls vibrate while installing the new siding and items can fall off selves and walls. Don’t forget to take items off the garage walls also such as hanging shovels and other items that could fall on your vehicles and cause damage. It is also helpful to cut back any over grown bushes and trees around your home so that the new siding can be installed.
Q. I have a large mirror attached to one of my outside walls is this a problem?
A. This is not a problem but you must show us before work begins where this area is located.
